The Outabout GUESTBOOK
Just some of the comments we've had from customers who have come walking with us...
I especially appreciated the personalized walk around Guildford and at short notice. ...I enjoyed learning the history of Guildford and seeing the buildings, particularly the real convicts home, how they lived etc. Chris was a character too and provided enough history with some anecdotes thrown in and answered questions posed well.

We did one walk and enjoyed it so much we booked to do a Forest Walk a couple of days later. Really good experience - stacks of stuff to see and learn about, great scenery/views and yes, you really do end up where it is likely that no-one has been for a very long time. Great photo opportunities and we saw wild Kangaroo - a highlight for me. We are telling all our friends in UK that if they ever visit Western Australia, they must look these guys up! Don't think about it - just book it. We found lightweight trainers were fine and would recommend wearing long trousers. We walked in June and the weather was great - not too hot!

Just a note to let you know how much I enjoyed the Nanga Hill walk. It was great to be totally immersed in virgin West Aussie bush so close to Perth but without the sounds and evidence of human settlement. There’s so much more to see and experience when walking ‘off trail’, and Chris’ history snippets provided another dimension - I was amazed to learn about the very old and untouched surveyor’s cairn built at the top of Nanga Hill, which was a perfect spot to stop for lunch.

Hello Chris and Steve
I am very much looking forward to the next walk - as the first one was such a delight ! Having two 16 yr old teenagers with us at the time, who totally enjoyed themselves and who found it quite cool to frolic about in nature was a real testimony to the fact that you are presenting these walks in such a way, that they are enjoyable and interesting for people of all ages. You both are doing a great job!

Just wanted to write to say how much we enjoyed the Bush Walk , the pace was just right for two old pensioners like ourselves, didn't think we could still walk that kind of distance, but as promised you set the pace such that Chris wouldn't get tired and it was just right for us too. Your bush knowledge was superbly informative and yes you did find Kangaroos for us along the way. A really enjoyable day, weather was just right and with no aches and pains afterwards, we can't wait to do it all again, next time we are over there in WA

I was very pleased to experience an interesting day in the bush north of Perth. Steve and Chris were well organized with walking kit and electronic aids that will tell us where we are and let us call for help if necessary (technology meets the ancient landscape). The walk initially followed existing paths and was not too physically difficult so my unfit state was not really challenged. The leadership team share their excellent knowledge of many things historical, geological and botanical. The next phase was to head cross country gaining height and enjoying the many wonderful views of the region. The fresh air and sounds of the wildlife were just wonderful. By mid afternoon we were heading back to home base and a much needed coffee. Steve and Chris have given me a delightful insight into the natural landscape north of Perth. I plan to more of the guided walks in the future.
